lol,

i was kinda expecting a song, but this would be a great sample to use while DJing.... i'll give you credit, i promise :D

Lolzer responds:

thx for the score and the review :)

You don't know how well timed.....

this song was... i'm having the worst day ever and this has cheered me up no end, it has such a great feel about it. i know feel is a bit of a weak word, but it's emotive tot he point where i kinda get that welling up feeling...

More seriously though, the drum work is brilliant, i think there's one pause that's slightly to long...one tiny section that doesn't really match up as well as it could.. but other than that i really like it, and the balance of the orchestral/piano work with such a frantic beat is very well done, as it can so often go horribly wrong...

class effort here matey... the production quality is great and i could sit here and listen to it on repeat for a good long time yet :D

Well done, have 5 pats on the back

I am so glad that you enjoyed it . it's reviews like this that make me keep posting on new grounds. Thank you so much man i really appreciate it.

hmmmm

i dont know if you've quit got the genre right on this one... i love the song, but shouldnt be in DnB...

i really like the feel of the song, the voice work is actually quite haunting... very enigma-like.... i think for those people interested in dnb this would be a prime candidate for a remix in dnb stylee..

Good Job, keep it up...

Rapture83 responds:

You're right, I'll fix it, but thanks for the vote.

'It has a really nice.....'

late 80's / early 90's house feel to it more than d'n'b though...

Not that that's a major problem... My main advice is work on the chords at the beginning, cos there's a note in there that's throwing everything else off...

Reconsider this track.. stick a thumping heavy bass line under it, heavy bass drum and reconsider the arrangement and i think you've got your self a winner.... (it does sound a bit like you've made some 4 bar samples and just wacked them together..)

you get high marks cos it's a great sound for your first track.... very nice high level of production on it...

Not far off the mark at all matey.. Maybe see if you can get one of the big guns to try and help you out... i'm sure someone like housemasta can see the potential in something like this...

sephiroth0206 responds:

thanks man. i appreciate your review, but yeah i didn't spend that much time on it though and i didn't have much loops to work on and i was just messing around with Sony Acid 6.0 so yeah :/

That drop.....

....at 39 seconds is bloody brilliant... you should use that more.... kill the sounds before hand for a little break and drop that beat in for a good section.... loved it...

This is definately a bit more out there for your chaoz stuff, but i like it.

What can i say.....

You've just reminded why i used to love DnB so much.... this.....was.....be-a-u-tiful.... i've been listening to it on loop for about 20 minutes and i havent got bored of it....

i wonder if there's anything you could od with my track 'Nanny Culture'... it's got a live DnB drum section (though not quite fast enough for my liking... tired arms ya see)... have a listen, tell me if you think you could have a play

Well done mate..

I love your work....

but i'm marking you down... because it's not long enough... :P

Seriously though, it has an excellent feel to it.... i don't know whether it's club worthy... maybe on a mixed night in Ibiza... saying that it does some very fun stuff over my 7.1 stereo at full wack... there's a whole different set of reverbs going on and it's wikid...

Keep it up... when can i expect an epic?

and umsldragon has a point, but only if all you want to do is keep up the constant pressure... personally... i love a good break... sets the tone...

You need....

to find a vocalist... one of those semi-eastern-european girls, trying to get hrough acting classes or something... that seems to be trend....

But i only say this as i have heard worse toss hit the airwave sin britain, and this funky house, basshunter thing is gona crash again soon.... get a vocalist and hammer ibiza with white labels.... maybe change the keyboard (when it's on its own) to be less synthy... give it more of a drowned piano sound and you'd have a really nice backing for vocals...

Really liked it...

F-777 responds:

Thanks for the honest review!

Thats a really......

Nice hooks, for me this seems a bit rushed... as in the BPM is a bit to high.... but i liked it.... i'd have slowed it down a bit.... done a mix with some strings... and added some non synth brass in the background... heavied it up a bit... funky house style....

But this fits the genre and sounds very good...

What did you make it in? i have some free time coming up to spend on little projects and i like the idea of doing a remix....

I liked it,

but it just sounds like a rhythm part, and doesn't really go anywhere for me. The best bits are where the strumming breaks.....

the duh-duh-da-duh-duh-da strumming gets right on my nerves anyways, so not your fault, but try and break it all up a little more, it'll give it more emotion and soul :D

Like i said, i like it, so a 4/7 from me :D

I submitted, got bored, then became a reviewer... I prefer doing audio :D
